The above photographs compare a patient before and after a procedure.  The top photographs display pretreatment conditions.  Please note the extensive decay in all areas.

The bottom photographs were taken after the upper (maxillary) arch has been restored with porcelain fused to gold crowns.  The lower teeth have yet to be permanently restored.  These photographs depict the progress of a complete oral rehabilitation.

These are photographs that show how tooth colored fillings can esthetically restore and improve teeth previously restored with unsightly restorations.  The photographs on the left are the before photos and the photographs on the right are the after photos.

The above photographs show a pre- and posttreatment tooth.  The top pretreatment photograph shows a large fractured and unsightly silver filling.

The lower posttreatment photographs display that the unsightly silver filling has been removed and the tooth restored with a bonded porcelain onlay

The left photograph shows an upper central incisor that was traumatically fractured.  The challenge was to restore the tooth to optimum esthetics incorporating modern principles of hue, chroma, value, translucency, opacity, and fluorescence.

The right photographs show the central incisor after it has been restored with one of the newer all ceramic materials.  You will note that there is no dark line at the gumline, and not only is the restored tooth very strong and unlikely to fracture, it will appear very natural in all light conditions, including natural light, ambient room light, fluorescent light and incandescent light.

The photographs show the various steps involved in the fabrication of a dental implant crown.

1.  The implants are placed below the gumline and they are invisible.  After a healing period that averages 3 to 6 months, there is a second stage procedure whereby the tops of the implants are uncovered, and healing caps are placed by the surgeon.

2. The patient is referred back to our office, and the healing caps are removed, exposing the dental implant.   The implant is an artifical root form made from titanium against which the jaw bone grows.

3.  An implant superstructure is fabricated by the dental laboratory that attaches to the implant.  In this particular situation, two implants were used to support a molar tooth

4.  In the final step, the new crown (cap) is attached to the implant superstructure.

The photographs above compare a patient before and after treatment.  The top two photographs display the pretreatment conditions.  Please note the upper central incisor has an oversized crown (cap).  Additionally, the shade does not match the adjacent tooth and there is still a gap between the two central incisors.

The two lower post-treatment photographs show that the unsightly crown was replaced with an Empress porcelain jacket crown, and a porcelain laminate veneer was placed on the adjacent tooth.  In so doing, the gap between the two teeth was closed and the area is now very esthetic.

The photographs featured above display pretreatment and posttreatment examples.  The picture on the top shows undersized central insizors with a wide space between them.  The options for correction inluded:  orthodontics (braces), crowns, or porcelain laminate veneers

The lower left photo shows a laminate veneer.  The patient chose to correct the issue with porcelain laminate veneers, the most conservative treatment in this particular case.  Laminate veneers were bonded to the four upper front teeth.   In this way the space could be closed without over-sizing the two central incisors.  Note the striking improvement in the patients appearance.

The pictures featured above show before and after examples.  The two pictures on top show the patient pretreatment.  Please note the protruding upper front central incisor, the spaces between the teeth and the size and color discrepancy between the central incisors.

The two bottom pictures show the patient posttreatment.  The spaces on the sides were closed with porcelain laminate veneers on the lateral incisors.  The crown was remade, and the adjacent central incisor on the patient's left was bonded.  The end result was esthetically pleasing and the patient's smile and appearance and self-esteem were considerably enhanced.

We also offer sedation dentistry for those patients that are anxious and fearful about dental care.
